Tips for Preserving Your Abayas, Jilbabs, Robes, Khimars
- Use only the minimal amount of detergent needed to prevent the fabric color from fading over time.
- For dark colored fabrics, it is preferred to use a detergent that is specially designed for dark colored fabrics.
- Zip up all zippers and secure any snaps before washing your abaya, and don't forget to check those pockets for any forgotten items!
- If your abaya is only soiled in only one spot, spot wash instead of washing the whole garment.
- If you are machine washing on a delicate cycle, wash with other abayas or separately.
- Hang your abayas on a clothes hanger to dry which will minimize wrinkles.
