There are currently 700,000+ Syrian refugees in Jordan as a result of the ongoing war in Syria. While some of them are in UN-funded camps like al-Zataari, most of them are not. Syrian refugees in Jordan have had their monthly financial aid from the World Food Programme reduced significantly due to lack of funding. Refugees were previously receiving around $1/day per person and as of September 2015, some have had their aid stopped altogether and have no money to buy food or pay for their basic necessities.
This is such a massive problem. It may seem like any assistance you provide won't help the situation but that is not true. Even if you are only able to help one refugee, you have still eased the situation of one person in need of help.
Abu Huraira reported Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying:
"He who alleviates the suffering of a brother out of the sufferings of the world, Allaah would alleviate his suffering from the sufferings of the Day of Resurrection, and he who finds relief for one who is hard pressed, Allaah would make things easy for him in the Hereafter..." (Saheeh Muslim, Hadeeth #6518)
After testing the response of this initiative locally we realized a great need for a direct avenue of donating to Syrian refugees. Alhamdulillaah we have been blessed with the means to open this initiative to online donors as well to help even more refugees who are genuinely in need.
Since the majority of our garments are manufactured in Jordan, we have direct contact with trustworthy Muslims there. Sunnah Style is not a charitable organization so we don't use any of your donation for organizational expenses. 100% of your donation will be transferred to our contacts in Jordan. Since there is no large organization or middleman involved, your entire donation will be put directly into the hands of Syrian refugees in need in Amman, Jordan, where the number of Syrian refugees is highest in the country.
Putting the money directly into the hands of those refugees in need will give them the ability to use the money for their greatest need, whether that be for food, shelter, medical care, or to plan toward moving into a better situation for themselves and their families.
Allaah (Azzawajall) says:
"O you who believe! Betray not Allaah and His Messenger, nor betray knowingly your Amaanaat (things entrusted to you, and all the duties which Allaah has ordained for you)." (al-Anfaal 8:27)
"Verily, Allaah does not like anyone who is a betrayer of his trust, and indulges in crime." (an-Nisaa' 4:107)
Our intention for this initiative is only to help Syrian refugees in need for the sake of Allaah. We hold your donation as a trust and your trust will be discharged as promised.
Please spread the word and inform others about this initiative so together we can help as many Syrian refugees as possible. JazaakumAllaahu khayran for your generosity - may Allaah ease the situation of the millions of Syrian refugees worldwide.
