How to Measure Yourself

We recommend always measuring an abaya that fits you well and comparing the measurements to our measurements chart on the product page.  This will give you a better idea of how loose/tight and long/short our abaya will fit in comparison to yours.  If that's not possible, then you can compare your own body measurements to our measurements chart to get an idea of how it will fit you.  We recommend leaving at least 8 inches of room in the bust and 10 inches of room in the hips for the garment to fit you modestly loose.

Shoulder Abaya Sizing

OPTION #1 - Measure another abaya/dress you already own that fits you well. Lay your abaya/dress flat on the floor with the front facing down and the arms spread out in the shape of a 'T'.  Measure the bust, hips, sleeve length, shoulder width, and length as shown in the image below.  Be sure to multiply the bust and hip measurements by 2 when comparing them to the measurements on our website (to give you the total measurement around).

OPTION #2 - Measure your body. Take the following measurements (or have someone else take them for you):

Bust - Measure the fullest point around your chest, keeping the tape measure straight across your back.
Hips - Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Length - Measure from the end of the back of your neck and straight down your back up until the length you would like your garment to reach. (or you can find your abaya length using our Height Chart)
Shoulder Width - Measure from the start of one shoulder to the other, taking the tape behind your neck.
Sleeve Length - Measure from the top of your shoulder joint and straight down your arm up until the length you would like your sleeves to reach.

Overhead Abaya Sizing

Our overheads are designed to fit loosely on all body types so select your size based on the length you need.

OPTION #2 - Measure your overhead abaya length. Take the following measurements (or have someone else take them for you):
Length - Measure from the top-centre of your head (where you will be letting your overhead abaya rest), down the back of your head, and straight down the middle of your back to the floor.
